Amir (name) : ウィキペディア英語版
Amir (name)
Amir (also spelled Ameer or Emir, (アラビア語:أمير), (トルコ語:Emir), (ペルシア語:امير), (ヘブライ語:אמיר), ) is a masculine name with two meanings, one is Arabic/Hebraic origin derived from the three letters AMR which means 'to give orders' or a "Prince". The title Emir in Arabic, which is essentially the same word as Amir, therefore means: "one who gives orders". It also means summit of a tree in Hebrew; and other one in Persian is pronounced in the same way but it has a different meaning, it consists of two parts; "A" which means "Un" and "mir" which is the root of the verb "Mordan مُرَدن" ( to die ), so Amir in Persian (means ) ''the one who (spirit and his memory ) will never die''.
